STARTING TO GET THE HANG OF THINGS

It is the fourth clinic day of the Peru 2019 T.W.E.C.S project, and I am starting to get the hang of things. It is an incredible experience and I feel honoured to be able to help so many wonderful people, and to be a part of this amazing team. There have of course been highs and lows in our journey so far: I've received many smiles and hugs from happy patients, but also a few tears from some whose prescriptions I was unable to fill. To me, this really highlights the necessity of the work that T.W.E.C.S is doing, and the importance of donating used eyeglasses. Even an old pair with an oddball prescription can make a huge difference for someone in need.
