Our first day of volunteering in Peru is done and time flew by pretty fast. This is my first time being part of a mission trip and I already am having an experience of a lifetime. Today was supposedly a very quiet day and yet we still helped around 200 people get new glasses. My Spanish is still very shaky but I’m sure by the time this trip is over I will have helped so many people that I’m just as fluent as they are. This trip has just started and I’m so excited for the days to come.
